Woman injured in junta airstrike on Rathedaung's Mose Island

A junta airstrike on Mose Island's Phyuchaung Village, in Arakan State's Rathedaung Township, injured a woman in her 50s on Monday.
The local woman was wounded after a bomb dropped by a junta jet fighter exploded near a monastery in the village on the evening of September 2.
"The woman sustained injuries in the junta air assault and her condition is considered not life-threatening. She is being treated," said a resident of Mose Island.
Civilian casualties continue to rise in Rathedaung Township amid the regime's increasingly frequent airstrikes and artillery attacks.
"Junta jet fighters fly over the village on a daily basis. We are worried about our safety when we hear the sound of junta jet fighters," said a local woman on Mose Island.
Civilian casualties blamed on the regime continue to rise in Arakan State, with at least 72 killed or injured in August alone, according to a DMG tally.
